This meter is a dual purpose TDS and Salt meter with thermometer. Mode 1 Shows salt concentration in food as a percentage and the bar graph displays Low Medium or High salt concentration. It helps you monitor your daily salt intake. Mode 2 The other mode acts as a normal TDS meter showing its reading in ppm (mg/L) What is TDS TDS is an acronym for Total Dissolved Solids. Water contains a variety of minerals and salts such as calcium magnesium carbonate chloride and nitrate etc. TDS is the parameter that measures the sum of all these compounds. The lower the reading the less compounds present and so the more pure the water.
